The moving image is a central component of all our works. We use video to make single channel video art and documentation.
In the early-90’s we expanded into installations making sculptures that incorporated monitors and LCD screens. Video remains an integral part of our art making process in installations and time-based public events.

Truth Be Told 2019
On September 21, 2018 we installed an ice sculpture spelling out the word Truth on the National Mall in front of the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
LigoranoReese’s time-lapse video …shows a succession of tourists taking selfies as individual letters of the word TRUTH melt and fall to the ground. To the footage, the artists added a perfectly synched soundtrack of Trump’s lies, boasts and obfuscations. With exquisite timing, each explodes across the mind like a cluster bomb…
On September 21, 2014 we installed a 3,500 pound ice sculpture of the words The Future at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 23 Street in New York during the People’s Climate March. This video compresses the 11 hour event into 4 minutes.

…A THOUSAND CUTS is the time-lapse video of the Middle Class’ disappearance that took place in the garden of Jim Kempner Fine Art in 2011. Over 60,000 people have seen it on the internet. Senator Bernie Sanders featured it on his Senate website and Rachel Maddow reported on it.
Senator Bernie Sanders’ 8-hour Senate floor filibuster against the Bush tax cuts punctuates the disintegration of the middle class sculpture, orchestrated to music by composer/violinist Michael Galasso.

If you lived here you'd be home by now 2006
If you lived here you’d be home by now uses imagery of luxury high-rise apartments that advertised New York real estate prior to the 2008 financial bubble.
Composited from simulated lifestyle imagery using lunar landscapes, the video depicts an out of this world sense of luxury.
The video accompanied a suite of digital prints in a storefront installation on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, site of expansive real estate development on the East River in New York City and was exhibited at the Nathan Cummings Foundation.
Exposed and Debriefed 1996
In 1995 we screen printed men’s and women’s cotton briefs with Newt Gingrich on the crotch and the Republican’s legislative program on the seat. The underwear became a sensation after we sent pairs of them to elected officials in Washington. They became so infamous that the Republican National Committee threatened us with copyright and trademark infringement. This is that story.
The Bible Belt 1992
The Bible Belt from the Pure Products of America series, is a component of the installation The Bible Belt, 1992, which has been shown in galleries and museums around the country. In the installation, the video is viewed on a small LCD screen embedded in the Bible. We cast our own televangelist hawking the Bible Belt intercut with pornography and real televangelists.
