Ever since we started working with ice, we’ve searched for a way to capture the sculptural transformation of the ice, its translucency and ephemerality. If only we could  freeze the process of the sculpture’s dissolution. This comes the closest yet. 

Each sculpture is hand sandblasted, broken and chipped. No two will ever be the same. The sculpture is illuminated with LEDs embedded in the base.  We fabricated them in the Brooklyn Navy Yard with Evan Eisman and Jason Lasko of Metalform.
